HANDS ON ABA Therapy

At HANDS, the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are provided by a clinical team of experienced Registered Behavioral Technicians (RBTs), extensively trained Behavioral Technicians (BTs), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), a Clinical Director, and a Clinical Psychologist. We maximize each child’s day at our ABA therapy center with meaningful learning opportunities, engaging social interaction, active and creative play, and developmentally appropriate skills for daily living. Our clinical team provides ABA therapy in North Carolina and is dedicated to helping every child develop communication, social, learning, and functional living skills that might include potty training, appropriate play skills, appropriate feeding skills, and transitions to a classroom learning environment. Along the way, we partner with parents to fully explore the variables of challenging behavior and clearly outline the recommendations for moving forward with ABA for children. Preparing you for the challenges ahead is just as important as preparing your child, since this approach will rely on your support as well. We customize the therapy plan for each individual child, focusing on the largest problem areas that both of you experience in your daily lives. Your HANDS ON Team Every client and family will have the full support of our HANDS team that includes: • Two therapists (RBT or BT) trained on each child's treatment plan to deliver 1:1 instruction • A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop the treatment plan and monitor progress while working with parents and caregivers through Parent Training • A Clinical Director to help plan each child's therapeutic goals and ensure clinical integrity • An Insurance Manager to assist with insurance approval and submit required paperwork 

HANDS ON Early Intervention

Since research has shown the importance of early intervention for improving a child’s overall development and building essential skills, the HANDS early intervention program focuses on young children between the ages of 2-5. Our early intervention program utilizes the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to help children build pivotal developmental skills, such as communication, language, and social skills. Therapy involves 20 - 40 hours per week of individualized ABA instruction based on treatment recommendation. One of the studies can be found here.
