Support and ABA Training for Parents
HANDS Center for Autism was founded by three parents with the passion for creating a therapeutic community for children with autism and their families. Our ABA clinic is designed to have parents and caregivers be an integral part of the treatment team from initial assessment through discharge and beyond. We believe in the importance of clear and consistent communication between clinical team and families. ABA therapy training for parents
of children with autism is just as important as the ABA therapy that your child will experience. You are their primary lifeline while out in the world, and it can be beneficial for both of you if you have the right skills necessary to support their development and assist them through their toughest challenges. Providing parental support to a child with autism comes with several challenges that you might not have been prepared for beforehand. This is completely normal, and it’s why we offer support services and autism training for parents, no matter what age or level of development your child may be at. What to Expect
Each HANDS family will engage in weekly or bi-weekly parent training for autism
with our Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) where loved ones can ask questions, receive support and learn how to best help their child practice skills at home.
Parents will receive daily progress reports which includes their child’s progress, peer interactions, brief summary of program goals, and other relevant information pertaining to the treatment session.
